2 months and growing!

The rest of last week was busy with lunch dates with friends, getting Addy's 2 month pictures, and celebrating Cathy and Roy's wedding! They had a beautiful ceremony and reception and we enjoyed it a lot! Over the weekend we went to the Power of the Past tractor show my dad and brother help put on each year and we got some cute photos with Addyson. It was a nice day out and we got spend a lot of time outside enjoying it with family. We ended the day with going out to dinner with Jared's parents and my mom. This was the first time, but sure not to be the last I had to go out of the restaurant with Addy. She was very fussy for awhile, had the hiccups, and ended up needing a diaper change. Sunday was a relaxing day, we did a couple errands and watched the Chiefs lose. On Monday Jared took the day off because it was Addy's 2 month check up and she got shots that day, 3 in her leg and then an oral vaccine. I know it is to keep her healthy, but it was not fun being the mom on the receiving end of things and I got teary eyed. I am used to giving the shots to kids at work, but not my own and as everyone says it is different! She cried for a few minutes then ate and went to sleep. She slept most of the day and was intermittently fussy which tylenol helped take the edge off. Addy now weighs 9 lbs 1 oz and is 21.7 inches long. She is still in the 10th-25% ile for weight and head circumference and just under the 50% ile for height. She has been sleeping in her crib for a little over a week now and that is going well. (we did let her sleep in her bassinet Monday night since she had a rough day). It is such a joy to watch Addy change and grow everyday. She is reaching for things more and loves to be talked to and is staying awake for longer periods during the day. Being a mom is so rewarding, even on the days where I am so tired I just can't believe our little girl is here and already 2  months old! I have less than 3 weeks now before I go back to work, and I know it will be so hard to leave but my saving grace is I am able to go back part time. This will allow me to be home more and we won't have to send her to daycare. I am so thankful to be able to do this.
