End of October

I am going to do several shorter posts as we have had a busy week with lots going on. Saturday Oct 29th we had family pictures with Jared's family and then dinner, later that night Addy, my mom, and I went to the American Royal Rodeo and Reba McIntire concert at Sprint Center while Jared played poker with friends. Addy was so alert and looking around the majority of the time with a couple cat naps. For Halloween, I made Addy's costume, a chili pepper. I had to work so  we didn't go out, but all the grandparents got to see her. Here are some pictures:

Addy Update

Man time is flying by and I can't believe we are at the end of October already! From where we left off, our schedule has not slowed down any but we are hoping it will soon. We had Addy's 3 month pictures taken and then October 8th was Sara's bachelorette party. It was A LOT of fun, but I was definitely ready to get home to my baby girl the next morning! After some cuddle time Jared, Jason, mom, Addy, and I went to Mound City for the craft fair. We got a few goodies and started our Christmas shopping there. This was our 3rd year going. That evening my great aunt Betty and 2nd cousin Bobby were in town from Wichita and met Addy for the first time. It was great seeing them. The following week we celebrated my grandma's birthday with dinner out with the family. We had Sara and Jordan's wedding festivities the weekend of the 15th and they had a beautiful outdoor wedding and recption dowtown. On October 16th, we weighed Addy at home and she was 10 lbs 10oz and 23.5 inches long. It took us a few days to catch up on sleep from the busy weekend and then we went out to visit my grandparents and have lunch last week. Last Friday we met my niece Miami, dad, and Penny for lunch at one of our favorite places: Mongolian BBQ! I got cancelled from work that night and we spent it at home playing with Addy and watching tv. She rolled over for the 2nd time from her stomach to her back :) Of course Jared was playing on his phone and missed it again and then she didn't want to be on her tummy when we tried again. I worked Saturday night and then Sunday we celebrated my cousin Tyler's birthday and then went to Jared's parents that evening for a yummy dinner. We are enjoying our moments with Addyson as always, she is smiling more, especially after she first wakes up in the morning and after her naps, she likes to "talk" and her expressions make us laugh. One night we were in the living room and she dirtied her diaper while Jared was holding her and I looked over and said, "Addy did you poopy?" She shook her head no, right on cue. We couldn't stop laughing at her and we know she is too little yet, but I swear she understands. Another night awhile back Jared was saying "look at her rolls (on her legs) " and she started to whimper. When she does poop she gets real still and focuses on something and I think she is thinking to herself "if I don't move, they won't know it was me."
Addy info: She likes to hold her stuffed zebra or burp rag and plays with her rattle and new favorite musical Baby Einstein turtle toy. She loves to kick her feet, especially if she is in just her diaper. If she has socks on, she tries to pull them off and grab her toes. She usually gets 1 Tbsp of rice cereal mixed with breastmilk at night and does quite well taking it from a spoon. Her sleeping pattern is usually bed between 9:30 and 10pm and she wakes up sometime between 3 and 6am normally to eat and then goes back to sleep til 9 or 9:30. During the day she eats every couple of hours and she cat naps with 1 long nap usually. When she gets bottles, she usually takes 4 oz or breastfeeds for about 30 minutes at a time. We are amazed at how big she is getting and how much she changes. She has been in 0-3 month clothes for a few weeks and has been in size 1 diapers for about a month now.

Sept/Oct

Wow, where has the time gone?? It has been 2 weeks since my last blog update and we have been busy busy bees so for a recap:
Sept 23rd- went shopping and got some new clothes finally
Sept 24th- went to Louisburg Cider Mill with my mom and Jared's parents, that night my mom and I took Addy and met my dad and Penny in Wellsville for Addy's first concert starring Ty Herndon while Jared was at a friends house watching the OU vs MU game
Sept 25th- went to breakfast with dad and Penny then back to their house where Addy got to meet their dogs Mandy and Buddy and get kisses from them and she went on her first tractor ride with Papa and then we had dinner at Jared's parents
Sept 26th- had lunch with Jennie and Branden
Sept 27th- lazy day at home
Sept 28th- Addy and I met Tasha and Avery for a pedicure and lunch
Sept 29th- shopping with my grandma and that night gave Addy her first few bites of rice cereal which she did great with
Sept 30th- met uncle Jason for lunch and had Brett and Kelly's rehearsal and dinner
Oct 1st- we attended Brett and Kelly's wedding, they looked amazing and it was a great evening! We are so happy for you guys!! Jared was the best man and I must say he cleans up nice :) Addy was such a good girl throughout the whole night. We stayed with my mom that night.
Oct 2nd- we had brunch and watched Brett and Kelly open gifts, I was supposed to go back to work this night but got cancelled due to low census
Oct 3rd- Addy slept 11 hours straight!!! Probably due to being on the go all weekend long. Jared took off  work and spent the day with us
Oct 4th- this was my first night back at work, it was hard and I cried all the way to work, but I have amazing co-workers that made it a good first night back and Lane even brought apple crisp and ice cream! Jared survived the night with Addy just fine and my mom stayed to help out and make sure Jared got up with Addy and we appreciate her help SOOOO much! I am so blessed to be able to go back part-time!
Oct 5th- I couldn't wait to get home from work and cuddled with my baby girl all day!
Oct 6th- we met Jared for lunch today and enjoyed it

My birthday week

Since I last posted we have had some busy days and some lazy days, which is a nice mix. Last weekend was filled with family time and Jared and I also had Brett and Kelly's bachelorette parties to go to. Jared said he had a good time and was a little hung over Sunday. Addy and I went to Kelly's party for awhile before the girls went out and enjoyed it. Addy doesn't seem too crazy about the party atmosphere just yet (I think it has to do with being tired and overstimulated) , however the tv and vacuum don't seem to bother her here at home. We came home and had a slumber party since daddy was gone. I can say Addy won't be in our bed very often as she is a mover in her sleep and I hardly got any sleep! Uncle Jason was home last weekend so we got to see him and mom had us over for lunch and this was the start of my birthday week since Jason wouldn't be home. We had lunch out several days and enjoyed visiting with Pat, Cathy, and Grandma this week. We had dinner with my mom's side to celebrate my birthday and Addy wasn't herself. She was fussy and seemed to be eating a lot more and then was up almost every hour so I think she has hit a growth spurt. On Wednesday she was fussy when Jared's parents were over and I really think she may be starting to teethe. Before her last dr's appt there were a couple white bumps on her gums and while I thought it was early I asked about it being the beginning stages of teething and she said it was pretty early and that it may be a little fluid collecting there. Well, with the increased fussiness and more drooling, I felt along her gums and that area has gotten harder and she likes to chew on my finger so we may be in for a long haul. She slept a little better though and was only up every 4 hours or so Wednesday night. Even though she has been fussy and up a lot more, she still manages to give me smiles and talk to me and makes it all worthwhile!! My birthday was yesterday and we had lunch with my mom, my dad came over for awhile in the afternoon and he also got to see Addy's fussy side, and then my mom watched Addy while Jared and I went out to dinner at Mongolian BBQ and Kansas Sampler. It was a nice day and after next year I have told everyone no more birthdays for me :) We measured and weighed Addy last night and she was almost 10 lbs 4 oz and close to 23 inches! We knew she looked bigger but we were so surprised that in a week and a half she has grown so much! Last night she slept for 8 hours! It was awesome except I kept thinking something was wrong and looked at the monitor a lot. We have another busy weekend coming up, that seems to be ongoing for us but life is short so we will take advantage of it.
